Firefox 3

The stable version of Firefox 3 was released yesterday, and the folks over at Lifehacker.com have put together a number of posts describing some of its new features.

Of possible interest here is that the browser seems to have a little trouble opening PDF papers downloaded from the arxiv.org, in that the PDF extension isn’t being appended to the filename and the browser doesn’t know what to do with a paper after it’s downloaded.  A poster to the forum discussion here provided a simple fix to the problem in the form of a Greasemonkey script, which you can install from this link.
